Bnei mitzvah Programme
We are excited to invite children in years 6-8 to join the Havurah Bnei Mitzvah Program.
B’nai Mitzvah sits at the heart of our community; since our inception in 2019, we have celebrated many of our young people reaching this important Jewish milestone at special Shabbat Baboker services. Through our two-year programme, they learn about Judaism, culminating in a celebration focused on the young person and their family.
The programme takes the children on a journey through Jewish leaders, traditions, values and history, helping them understand their identity and how this relates to us in the modern age.
The Bnei Mitzvah sessions occur twice a month, on Saturdays before the Shabbat Baboker service and on Sunday afternoons. They also experience sleepovers and outdoor activities.
The sessions are enjoyable and engaging, allowing kids to build relationships with each other, create a cohort within the Havurah community, and develop their own Jewish identity.
